Survey legend

Every build is surveyed as a package.

Filter the range to see what each tier buys, at the price it starts at.

Expedition 01Concept buildThe Trailheadfrom $2,000Hair Salon Concept

Mica Hair Studio

A fictional three-chair salon in an invented BC town, built on one idea a colourist already lives by: a photograph lies and a swatch does not. The homepage is a working swatch ring rendered in WebGL, and it can be viewed under salon light, daylight, or six in the evening, because the whole business case is that colour changes with the light you judge it in.

Expedition 02Concept buildThe Trailheadfrom $2,000Auto Repair Concept

Harkness Auto & Tire

A fictional independent garage in an invented Kootenay town, built to prove the Trailhead package can still carry a signature: the homepage hero is one real year at the shop, a single generated clip sampled to 72 frames and scrubbed by scroll so the same corner of the building moves through all four seasons while the price promise holds still over top.

Expedition 03Live productRegional Business Register (Live Product)

The Kootenay List

A free, open, hand-checked register of 5,836 Kootenay and Boundary businesses, built and run by Kootenay Made Digital. Every entry is a ruled record carrying its public source and the date it was last checked. Nobody paid to be on the list, and nobody can pay to sit higher on it.

Expedition 04Concept buildThe Enginefrom $6,500Cat + Heli Skiing Concept

Powderhorn Basin

A fictional guide-owned cat and heli operation above an invented BC town, whose homepage is one mountain descended by scroll: an altimeter ticks down from the 2,610 metre drop-in while a procedural storm-light world re-lights five zones on the way to valley lamplight, and every interface surface reads like the morning briefing.

Expedition 05Concept buildThe Enginefrom $6,500Craft Brewery Concept

Breaker Room Brewing

A fictional craft brewery poured into a decommissioned 1920s hydro powerhouse, where the beer board is a switchboard: pick a beer and the whole room changes state, the porter literally kills the lights, and every page carries painted hall signage from the same invented world.

Expedition 06Concept buildThe Enginefrom $6,500Small-Town Law Firm Concept

Marlowe & Fenn LLP

A fictional four-lawyer firm on the main street of an invented BC town, and the whole website is drafted as the firm's agreement with its clients: numbered clauses, a public fee schedule, and oxblood margin marks that re-say the legal drafting the way you would across a kitchen table.

Expedition 07Concept buildThe Enginefrom $6,500Integrated Wellness Clinic Concept

The Morrow Clinic

A fictional integrated wellness clinic on the Sorrel River, built to be the calmest site in the range: morning light, a two-minute booking flow, a fogged east window you wipe with your finger, and every nervous-patient question answered before the calendar ever opens.

Expedition 08Concept buildThe Enginefrom $6,500Wood-Fired Restaurant Concept

Smokefall

A fictional wood-fired restaurant at the end of Wharf Road in an invented lakeside town. The website is the restaurant's day board, and it knows what time it is: six designed light states, a draggable sun, a living hearth-smoke scene, and a menu page set like a printed artifact.

Cedar & Stone Lodge

A fictional five-room bed and breakfast near Radium Hot Springs, built as a direct-booking engine: rooms with real rates, included breakfast, local guides, a journal that earns search traffic, and a site written like the lodge's own guest book.

After the showcase

The build goes live. The relationship should not go dark.

The portfolio shows the finished public work, but KMD is built around what happens next too: clearer updates, practical guidance, client resources, and a calm path back to Brett when the next business question appears.

01

Launch is the visible part

The portfolio shows what goes public: positioning, pages, visuals, conversion paths, and technical execution.

02

The Lodge keeps it alive

Clients keep learning, requesting updates, organizing resources, and reaching Brett instead of disappearing into a support void.

03

The check-up is the next trail map

Before a big build, the free check-up shows what is already working, what is leaking trust, and what deserves the first move.
