Grant Writing

The money is there. The writing is what stops people.

Most small business grants are lost at the application rather than at the decision. The forms are long, the questions are worded strangely, and the deadline arrives in the middle of a working week. I do the research on what you actually qualify for, then write the case in your words, so the application says what your business really does.

What you are buying

The package scope, in plain terms.

You are buying research into what your business qualifies for, and the written application. Five hundred dollars flat, and the whole fee comes off a build if you go on to have one.

A finished application, in before the deadline, that says what you actually do.

Best fit

  • There is money you could apply for and no time to write for it
  • The forms are long and the questions are worded strangely
  • You missed a deadline last time because the week got away
  • You want someone to tell you whether it is worth applying at all

What is included

  • Five hundred flat per application, credited against any build from $2,000 up
  • Never a percentage of an award, which is prohibited by the Grant Professionals Association
  • The fee buys the work and not the outcome, because grants are competitive
  • I will tell you if I cannot find one worth your time

Why it matters

The package should remove doubt and make action easier.

Clear scope

The customer can see what is included, what changes, and what happens next.

Better decisions

The page answers the doubts that usually slow down calls, quotes, purchases, or bookings.

Useful handoff

The owner leaves with a system they can understand and keep using.

How the path works

Simple enough to follow. Serious enough to work.

  1. 01

Research what you actually qualify for

  2. 02

One call to get the facts and numbers right

  3. 03

Write the case in your words

  4. 04

Submit it, and keep you a copy

What you walk away with

The pieces that turn the idea into something useful.

These are the practical parts behind the promise, written so the owner knows what is actually being built, improved, or handed over.

  • Research into the grants your business is genuinely eligible for
  • One short call to get the facts and the numbers right
  • The written application in your voice, not in consultant language
  • The finished file submitted, and a copy kept for your records

Same packages as the services overview, expanded here with the exact scope, price, timeline, and best-fit use case so the next decision is obvious.

One application

$500

Credited back in full against any build from $2,000 up.

The research, and the case written in your words.

I find what you actually qualify for, get the facts straight on one call, and write the application. The fee buys the work and not the outcome: grants are competitive and none is guaranteed. I never take a percentage of an award, because contingency fees are prohibited by the Grant Professionals Association and opposed by most funders.

  • The written application in your voice
  • Submitted, with a copy kept for your records

What improves

What changes after this is done.

The job is not decoration. The job is fewer doubts, clearer decisions, better follow-up, and a cleaner path from first impression to action.

  • An application finished and submitted before the deadline

  • The research done on which grants you actually qualify for

  • A case written in plain language that a reviewer can follow

  • The fee back in full if you go on to build with me

Common questions

Answers that reduce hesitation.

Will I get the grant?
I cannot tell you that and nobody honest can. Grants are competitive, and most have far more applicants than awards. The fee buys the research and the writing, not the outcome. What I can tell you is that a clear, complete, on-time application beats a rushed one, and that is the part I control.
Do you take a percentage of the award?
Never. Charging a percentage or a success fee is prohibited by the Grant Professionals Association and opposed by most funders, and some agencies will disallow grant money used to pay one. It also gives the writer a reason to overstate your case. A flat fee keeps my incentive on writing something true.
What does it cost?
Five hundred dollars flat per application. If you go on to have a website, store, or app built with me from $2,000 up, the whole $500 comes off that build, the same way The Survey works.
Which grants do you work on?
It depends entirely on your business, which is why the research is part of the job rather than something you do first. Some are open to any small business, some are for women, newcomers, or particular regions and industries. I will tell you if I cannot find one worth your time.
How long does it take?
Usually a week or two from the call to the submitted application, depending on how much the funder asks for. Tell me the deadline early, because some of the good ones close monthly and missing one costs you the whole cycle.

Start with the clearest next move.

If this sounds close to what your business needs, start with the audit or ask Brett where the weak points are. The right path usually becomes obvious once the current foundation is inspected.
