Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information, in plain English.
Last updated: April 14, 2026
At Kootenay Made Digital, we believe in being upfront about everything, including how we handle your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. No fine print, no surprises.
What Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
When you fill out our contact form, you share your name, email address, phone number, business name, city, website URL, what you're interested in, and your message. We only collect what we need to understand your project and get back to you.
Account and support information
If you create a client lodge account or use our support, guides, or community features, we may collect your login details, profile information, support requests, replies, and any other content you choose to submit there.
Payment information
When you pay for our services, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number. Stripe handles all the sensitive payment details. For e-Transfer payments, we receive the transfer through our bank. We don't store your banking information.
Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website, including which pages are visited most, how long people stay, and what devices they use. This data is aggregated and anonymous. We don't use it to identify individual visitors.
Website scan submissions
If you use our free website scan, the website URL you submit is sent to Google PageSpeed Insights so Google can generate the performance, accessibility, SEO, and best-practices scores you see on screen.
Technical and security information
Our hosting, authentication, and form systems may process technical details like IP address, browser information, request timestamps, and basic server logs. We use this information to keep the site secure, prevent spam or abuse, maintain logins, and troubleshoot problems.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
• Respond to your inquiries and contact form submissions • Deliver the web design, branding, and other services you've hired us for • Process payments for our services • Send you project updates and deliverables • Provide client lodge access, support resources, and community features when they're part of your service • Run and respond to website scan requests • Improve our website and services based on how people use them • Keep the site secure and prevent spam, abuse, or unauthorized access • Follow up on completed projects during the launch polish and warranty window
We don't sell your information. We don't rent it out. We don't use it for purposes you wouldn't expect. If we ever want to use your information for something new, we'll ask first.

Cookies
Our website uses a small number of cookies:
