Revelstoke sits outside the Kootenay regional districts. It belongs to the Columbia Shuswap Regional District, with Golden, Sicamous, and Salmon Arm. It is the next town up the Arrow Lakes and the Columbia from Nakusp. I work with it remotely, the same way I work with any business outside the Kootenays.

Revelstoke runs two markets out of one small downtown.
Tourism Revelstoke places the town on the Columbia River, between the Monashee and Selkirk ranges. It calls Revelstoke the heli-skiing capital of the world and lists five heli-ski companies based here. It also says Revelstoke Mountain Resort has the most vertical of any ski hill in North America. Mount Revelstoke National Park runs a 26 km paved parkway up to its summit meadows. Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass sit east on the Trans-Canada. The town was built as a railway centre. It still needs electricians, dentists, and bookkeepers all year. A Revelstoke site has to sell the trip and serve the neighbour.

Is Revelstoke part of the Kootenays?+
Not by regional district. Revelstoke belongs to the Columbia Shuswap Regional District, with Golden, Sicamous, and Salmon Arm. It sits up the Arrow Lakes and the Columbia from Nakusp, so plenty of Kootenay people treat it as a neighbour. I work with Revelstoke businesses the way I work with anyone outside the Kootenays: remotely, with the same process.

How does a Revelstoke project work from Castlegar?+
Mostly by video call, phone, and shared documents. The drive runs north to Nakusp, then up Highway 23 and across the Upper Arrow Lake ferry from Galena Bay to Shelter Bay. A visit can happen when a project needs one, and most projects do not.
Should a Revelstoke site have separate winter and summer pages?+
