Irish Red Ale · 5.6% ABV
Our head brewer Tyler says this is the one he reaches for after a long brew day. Rich caramel malt, a touch of toffee sweetness, and a clean finish. It’s the kind of beer that makes the Kootenay evenings feel exactly right.

Food Truck Friday: Kootenay BBQ
Smoked brisket, pulled pork, and sides. Until sold out. Pairs perfectly with the Red.

Tyler and two friends started brewing 10-litre batches in a Trail garage. They almost blew up the ceiling twice. The beer was good enough to try again.

The Kootenay Pale Ale hit 200 litres. Local bars started asking. A 1-tonne grain delivery showed up and there was nowhere to put it. The brewery was born.

We opened 123 Sample St on a Tuesday in March. By Friday there was a lineup. Now we pour 12 beers, host 50 events a year, and sponsor the local trail crew.
